Optimum Percussion is excited to host Australia’s FIRST EVER DrumLine Battle at the 2018 Australian Percussion Eisteddfod!

On 3 August, 2018 groups from all over Australia will converge on Saint Stephen’s College in Queensland and have the opportunity to BATTLE IT OUT for the title of Australian DrumLine Battle Champion!

Over the past 10 years, Optimum Percussion has been committed to nurturing the growth of the marching percussion community in Australia. As part of the annual Australian Percussion Eisteddfod, the drumline competition has grown with the community and become the pre-eminent marching percussion competition on the continent. With the addition of DrumLine Battle as a captivating new performance format, we hope to engage more students, educators, and community members. This year’s event will provide novel performance opportunities to express Australians’ flourishing passion for the marching arts. This is the beginning of what we hope will be a long tradition of excellence, friendly competition, and DrumLine Battle down under!
